One of the worst unprecedented pandemics the world faced is Covid -19. Coronavirus is a substantial brood of virus that causes illness extending from mild cold to severe respiratory syndrome or SARS.

Catagen or Transformation Phase: This phase begins where anagen phase ends. It commonly lasts for about 10 days. In this hair follicle narrows and hair growth declines.
Telogen or Pausing Phase: Hair growth doesn't take place in this phase nor hair sheds or falls.
Exogen or Shedding Phase: This phase sees the shedding of hair while brushing or washing. Hair loss of about 50 to 100 strands per day during this phase is common.
There are different reasons that causes hair fall. Hormonal imbalances, health conditions, stress and anxiety, lifestyle are some of the common causes that lead to hair fall.
Covid -19 being a new viral infection was a stressor that forced hair into telogen effluvium phase.
